About Crystal Park...

Crystal Park is located in Lancaster City, Pennsylvania. It sits in the 10th Ward; on the west side, of the city of Lancaster. [1]

On July 4th, 2007; the park officially turned Fifty years old.

The Park, is owned and managed by the Lancaster City’s Public Works Parks & Public Property Department. There are only a little over twenty four parks downtown that are owned and operated as parks and public spaces through the city’s Public Works Parks & Public Property Department.  [2][3]

Crystal Park’s entrance is located on the cross streets of First and Crystal streets. It is encased by First Street on the south side; Reo Avenue on the west side and Rieker Avenue on the North and East sides.

The park was first dedicated to the public on July 4th, 1957. The land for this park was donated to the city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania by Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Eshelman on January 2, 1956. Crystal Park was originally developed by the Department of Parks and Public Property of the City of Lancaster during the period from March 1957 to July of 1957. (View more History...)
